Winter fading - high risk

Our natural defense against the UV (ultra violet ray) attack is the Ozone layer. The Ozone is depleting rapidly through causes such as increased chemical emissions and other symptoms of the Greenhouse effect.

Natural substances or organic compounds are most susceptible to the harshness of fading. Items such as bold coloured- dyed cotton, leather upholstery and kelim matting easily show how the sun can manifest itself through the fading action irreversibly, within 7 weeks of exposure.

Polyethylene Therepthalate, a non organic compound is laminated in conjunction with a U.V. infused inhibitor. The inhibitor absorbs harmful U.V. rays between 300 - 380 Nm. The infused inhibitor is designed to degrade over time as exposure to U.V. rays is extended.

The protection offered by Mylar film is equivalent to SPF 50 sun cream protection.

NOTE: Selecting the correct film is most important. Ask for film specifications to match your required expectation.

Mylar film is NON-POROUS and filters U.V. frequency 99%. All solar wavelengths related to light, heat and U.V. cannot pass through Mylar film untreated.
