Winter fading – higher exposure to low-angle incidental solar energy

The Ozone is struggling to regenerate as a result of industrialisation and other effects of the Greenhouse Effect.
21 July each year, known as the Winter Solstice, the sun is at its lowest angle across the horizon in the Southern Hemisphere. In the approach to the Winter Solstice, “longest night shortest day” phenomenon, each day offers less daylight hours and the solar approach angle penetrates deeper into the home or office.

As a result, solar energies and radiated solar frequencies (Radio waves, Ultra Violet rays, Gamma rays, Micro waves, Infra Red radiation….) transmitted from the sun, pass comfortably through structural glazing, influencing and affecting possessions and ambient interior temperatures with irreversible effect (U.V. fading of possessions).

Ultra-Violet frequency passes through cloud-cover ! Winter is a prime time for the fading action!

All film types supplied in the “ROLLA-RAY” solar film range is designed and supplied with a U.V.
infused-inhibitor between the layers of P.E.T. (solar film).
The U.V. infused inhibitor will retard the effects of fading within the incidental U.V. frequency bandwidth between 300 – 380 Nanometres.

Fading of possessions is broadly caused as a result of exposure to the solar generated-frequencies in the proportions noted on the
pie-chart on the right;

Hence; To derive maximum protection for your possessions, combine the maximum statistical strength of each element offered in the “ROLLA-RAY” Solar roller film collection...WITHOUT LOSING THE VIEW!

Ask your “ROLLA-RAY” sales consultant for further particulars of refer to the Performance Data tables.

Natural fibres and compounds, bolder colours and fine prints are most susceptible to rapid degradation when left exposed unprotected to the sun.

The multi-layered P.E.T. “ROLLA-RAY” solar film encompasses protective capacity in all major solar components. Impervious and multi-layered in composition, the Mylar film offers a scientific manipulation of the solar spectrum which influences the fading process WITHOUT LOSING THE CLEAR UNINTERRUPTED VIEW OUTWARD.

Porous and loosely- woven window fashions (lace curtains, roller fabrics, silks….), by design, offer solar frequencies easy passage to pass through. A tangible examination in- point is:

If water is able to pass through the porous window fashion, so too will solar frequencies !

Hence; If the porous window fashion offers the user a clear view, an effective U.V.-Ray “filter” would be required in its structural composition. The “ROLLA-RAY” solar film is impervious to water.

By comparison, “ROLLA-RAY” offers the user a CLEAR VIEW whilst offering effective solar protection
